Adrian Peterson: The Vikings’ star running back went to the Cheesecake Factory and tipped well. “When it came time to pay the bill, Peterson was again a caring fellow. A party that size required more than one server, and Peterson tipped them well. Then Peterson wanted to throw in a few more $100s for the servers, but word has it that a Cheesecake manager waved off the extra cash.”
Well, I’ll be damned! It’s a small moral victory in Minnesota this time of year when your car starts in the morning, considering it’s about 10 degrees outside. Finally, you get to work and things start looking up when a millionaire football player stops in with his entourage and Mr. Footballer wants to leave you a huge tip for your exemplary service at his favorite Cheesecake Factory. Then manager boy steps in and waves it all off like he’s Brad Childress waving off a penalty!!?? Did you think you made yourself look good to A-Pete when you did this pal? Do you think he thinks you’re cool? How about thinking of your staff who have been busting their asses all day and smell like stale food with cheesecake smeared all over their sleeves. It’s not like Minnesota has the mega million dollar stars floating through their Cheesecake Factory restaurants everyday! They’ve been waiting for a day like this ever since Kirby Puckett left the scene. Hell, even if Puck was a little short on cash, he had alternate ways of leaving you a tip when out in public places! I digress…
Note to manager: Next time A-Pete comes into your restaurant and wants to ‘make it rain’ & piss away a little of his hard earned stash on your servers, let the man work his magic. Comprende? Maybe that cute waitress that you’ve been ‘accidently’ rubbing up against in the kitchen when you’re reaching for a dish rag will be so happy about her tip that she’ll go catch a movie & grab a drink with your sorry ass after work.
