Bank Profits From The Brutal World Of Boxing
July 3rd 2008 23:15
Boxing is a peculiar sport in that you are watching 2 men trying to hit each other on the head until they lose consciousness.
I guess it's this brutal gladiatorial aspect that makes it so watchable amongst the testosterone driven males, and when you combine this with the long history of the sport, it's not hard to see that's it a great niche to profit from...
You could set up your own site selling all sorts of boxing products. The main advantage with this type of site of that you get to keep all the profits, but the downsides include investing in stock, delivery and customer service issues, and maintaining the site - that's after you created it!
These disadvantages outweigh the advantages in my view, which is why the affiliate model is much more attractive.
With the affiliate model, you send traffic to a site that already sells the products - they do all the delivery and customer service, you don't have to buy or hold any stock, you just get paid a commission on any sales from the traffic you send.
It's possible to earn a full time income from this alone.
One example is posters.
There are a few posters of Mohammed Ali which always sell well, year after year.
Maybe you want to sell equipment, gloves and punch bags - the fitness industry is a big one, and boxing moves are known for their aerobic value, so you could see these to people who don't even like boxing!
Then there are all the books written by boxers, and the books written about boxers.
You get the videos, and can even sell pay per view packages via the affiliate model.
So you can see that the brutal world of boxing has plenty of opportunity to make profit.
I love the fact that I make money by writing about sport - find out about the *exact* technique I use at my site by clicking here!
