Big Baby Davis says: Happy 'Bleepin' Mothers Day Orlando!
May 11th 2009 13:51
I sit there, as my clicker is on fire from switching channels every other second all night between the Celtics, Bruins and Sox games, and I can’t help but get a sour taste in my mouth as the Celtics win Game 4 in ultra-dramatic fashion, with a huge jumper by Big Baby Davis. Can we hit a big shot in the NBA anymore and NOT have to start screaming into the stands, “yeah that’s right mother bleepers, no doubt mother bleepers”? Screaming at fans, swearing at fans and pointing at particular fans who might’ve been giving you the business all night is something that you have to let go as a professional athlete. Big Baby, can’t you hit the game winning shot and jump around with your teammates and get all fired up amongst yourselves, but just ignore the fans in the stands? That’s all I’m saying. Ray Allen does it the right way, all the time. Davis obviously looks up to Kevin Garnett and with good reason. He has picked Garnett’s brain all year on all things basketball. He has worked on perfecting that 15-18 foot jump shot like he hit last night for the game winner. I love everything this kid has turned into. He has busted his tail to get better and diversify his game, and that jump shot is almost automatic now for him, which makes he and the team so much better. I love watching what he’s done with his game this year and all the hard work he’s put in. I just wish we could end some of the antics that go on. KG with a mock salute to the Orlando bench and grazing his genitals with his hand as he stares down the Orlando bench shouldn’t be happening either and I think someone like Davis who looks up to this guy and watches everything he does, thinks it’s ok since KG does it. To me, it sucks. Win the game with some class. That’s coming from a huge fan of KG’s and Davis’, they are both so fun to watch. I still am big fans of both of them, just tired of overdoing it with the chest pounding, swearing antics at times.
This Celtics team has so much heart, it’s unbelievable. You can’t measure it. They are playing without their best player, and a center, Kendrick Perkins, who’s shoulder keeps popping out of its socket! It has been a great ride and I can honestly say, with all respect to Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups, I don’t want anybody else leading my team at the point guard position right now, other than Rajon Rondo. Danny Ainge, take a bow!
