NEW HAVEN - Compared with Yale coach Tom Williams, the guy who runs the New England Patriots is Mr. Conservative.
Leading, 10-7, with about 2 1/2 minutes left, and facing a fourth and 22 at his own 25, does he let Tom Mante, a really good punter, boot it away? Noooo.
Nope, he goes for it with a fake, and not only does he go for it, he does so with a reverse. It’s a nice play, too, only not nice enough. John Powers picks up 15 yards, which, if you do the math, is not enough.
Three plays later, Harvard quarterback Collier Winters has hooked up with Chris Lorditch for the game-winning 32-yard touchdown pass. It was Harvard 14, Yale 10, and in the 126-year history of this storied rivalry, there have been few more brutal losses suffered by either side.

I told him to watch his mouth considering he just escaped being named Asshat yesterday.. but he might be on to something here with you though. You are the head coach for Yale? That is the only explanation for this if you ask me.. You were high as a kite and you mistakenly thought you were playing Super Tecmo Bowl on Nintendo with Bo Jackson as your running back circa 1988 and you decided to run a reverse with him and ‘take it to the house!’ Good work Tom.
