Boston Herald’s Inside Track Girls & Their Groupies Questioning Tom Brady’s Drive Is Way Off Base

(From the Inside Track in the Boston Herald)
But, face it, Tom, you’re not the ferociously focused footballer you were before marrying Brazilian glamazon Gisele Bundchen last spring, celebrating last month’s birth of son Benjamin, and playing long-distance Daddy to firstborn son Jack, 2. And lest we forget, all the real-estate wheeling and dealing!
"I think my life is very focused and prioritized on the things that are important to me, and that’s obviously my family and my football career," [Brady] told [WEEI's Dennis & Callahan]. "There’s not really a whole lot of other things going on other than that."
Really? Many fans beg to differ.

You know what Gayle & Laura, the Inside Track gossip queens from the Boston Herald, grab a clue. Stick to star gazing and telling me who Wes Welker ate his steak with down at The Capital Grille, ok? I don’t follow you on Twitter so I can get your insight, or your groupies insights, on Tom Brady’s declining drive to win. I follow you to see if there’s any breaking smut news in your ‘Tales From The Naked City’, or whatever it’s called. You know…. “What local married sports celebrity was sucking face with a supposed Northeastern co-ed, half naked on top of the bar, while his wife was at home with the kids?”--- that type of shit. Good job on that segment by the way. I love the part where you tell all of us not to call you or e-mail you for names of these peeps….because ‘what happens in the Naked City stays in the Naked City’ or whatever…Cute.
Now back to the issue at hand…..
The Inside Track article aside, I’ve been hearing whispers of this all year long... ‘Brady’s lost the drive’... ‘Brady’s not as hungry’ etc. All of this is a complete crock of shit. This contradicts everything I’ve ever seen or read about this guy since Day 1 in this town, whether it be from reporters, teammates, or ex-teammates. What, he can’t get married and have children? He’s now ‘not as driven’ because he has responsibilities at home. I hate this childish type of thinking. So, if he’s out all hours of the night partying it up like the All-American QB and sucking tequila body shots off of someone like Kim Kardashian’s ample asscheeks while living the life of a bachelor, does that make it alright and mean he’s still driven? A ‘live hard, play hard’ driven tough guy? Or would you be saying he parties too much and has lost focus and drive? Would you like him to live like the Amish? What does he have to do to be considered driven? The guy has created a life for himself and enjoys being around his wife and little kids. That means he’s not as competitive or driven as he once was? Get real. ‘Oh but he’s not the first car in the parking lot and last car to leave during those voluntary workout sessions in the offseason anymore like he used to be!’ It’s called managing your body as you get older.
Guys with the competitive fire of a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning don’t come around often. Getting married and having a couple of kids doesn’t change that level of drive or competitive nature for guys like this. People that can’t understand that probably don’t have a competitive bone in their body and don’t understand how it all works. It’s not something you turn on and off. The whole argument is just ridiculous, but I have a feeling we haven’t heard the last of it.
