"C'mon LeBron"

Lebron James has always "lived up to the hype" as far as I'm concerned. Since he's come into the NBA he's been as advertised. Polished beyond his years, an unselfish ballplayer who keeps his teammates involved sometimes TOO much. He has been the perfect franchise player for a Cleveland team that was down and hurting before he arrived. Personally, I am a huge fan of Lebron James and I still remain a huge fan. I have never seen someone come into the NBA that young and have the maturity and media savvy that he posesses. It's incredible.
That being said, Lebron finally acted his age last weekend against the Celtics. While completely murdering Boston, in a game where Cleveland and LeBron already had the East's top seed locked up and were playing a Celtics team minus Kevin Garnett, LeBron led his team in a celebratory group dance in front of the Cleveland bench to rub it in to the Celtics. Why would you ever want to incite the NBA world champions minus their best player, while beating them in a relatively meaningless game as far as playoff position between the two teams? Why? Because he's 24, that's why... and even the most polished young athlete sometimes gets "caught up" and acts a little stupid. He was enjoying his teams beatdown of the Champs and got carried away with the showboating and dancing in front of his bench. So, I think we should all excuse him and cut him a break. He's done a lot for the NBA and he's been a joy to watch since he's arrived. The question is, will KG, Ray-Ray, and Paul Pierce cut him a break for showing them up like that right before playoff time when/if they meet in the Eastern Conference Finals? Doubt it.. Don't kick a champion when they're down LeBron. Next time, wait until you dethrone the Champs before dancing on their
proverbial grave.
Until next time,
Chuck
