Dan Gilbert Should Be Ashamed Of His Bush League Comments Against LeBron James

July 9th 2010 13:06
Dan Gilbert,Cleveland Cavaliers owner

Well, I'll be damned!

Cavaliers owner, Danny Gilbert, is crying himself and his Cavalier supporters a gigantic goddamn river over this LeBron James mess, eh?

Gilbert calls Lebron James a “quitter” for his performance in this year’s playoffs against Boston & a disloyal human being for signing elsewhere.

Dan, this is a supreme bush league act. An act that you, as an owner, should be ashamed of yourself for orchestrating. You were standing around with your tongue wagging in the air, just like the rest of the owners, praying that King James would put his John Hancock on your offer sheet. If he was such a quitter and overall shitty human being, why would you want him back, Dan? Why?

Gilbert’s actions are similar to a guy who gets stood up at the altar on his wedding day and then goes to his family and says, “everyone, trust me I’m better off. She was like the town dump, everyone threw their junk in her from time to time. I’ll be ok.”

I’m not saying King James handled this whole situation perfectly, but as an owner, these statements were the epitome of “bad form.”

I wonder what Dan sees when he looks in the mirror. I see a stupid sonbitch when I look at him. This whole process was a joke right down to having a cable special to announce where King James was gonna sign, Dan just topped it off with his classy letter.

I think Dan sees a "handsome, witty, King James hatin son-bitch" when he stares in the mirrored glass.

How can Dan Gilbert say the Cavs will win a NBA Championship before the Heat? I mean I heard of blowing shit out of proportion. But this is ridiculous. With their current squad, the Cavs aren't even going to make the 8th seed. Now that LeBron is gone, why would Shaq stay?

agreed. That team is in for a long stretch of barren campaigns, IMO. Dan was all juiced up and talking out of his ass, spewing emotion. It's going to be a long time.
