DePaul Hoopster Receives Summa Cum Laude In Bootyism From TCFB

The following is a letter written by a former DePaul basketball player as part of his intro to writing class. (From Deadspin)

Personally, I prefer a warm up jam like, “Get Low” by Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, followed by a little of Ginuwine’s “My Pony”, but to each their own.

I especially like how the baller separates the “lady friends” from the “one night stand girls.” This is key when choosing booty music. Pretty Ricky’s “Honey” is a soothing, get you in the mood, tone setter type jam, opposed to R. Kelly’s “Filling on your booty”, which is of the raw/gnash your teeth “get down to business & get out my dorm when we’re done”, variety.

Job well done, young man.

Are we missing the forest for the trees here? This titan of grammar obviously knows how to use spell check. Brava! Sure he hasn't figured out what the squiggly green lines under the text in MS Word mean but hey!!! It is obvious that this man challenged himself to write his own letter instead of the typical enabled jock protocol of having a girlfriend do it for him. These words are honest and from the heart and I can relaxes a little when I begin to worry about the integrity of our collegiate system in conjunction with amateur athletics.

I was wondering the same thing. Is this kid in college or what? I know some elementary schoolers that can write a better paper than that.
