Formula 1 - Siesta in Spain?
April 27th 2008 17:33
The Spanish Grand Prix took place as the season arrived in Europe.
The Spanish race is very hard to overtake in, one of the criticisms of F1, and indeed in this race, the pole sitter Kimi Raikkonen just waltzed off into the distance and hardly broke a sweat - not exactly riveting racing!
The main excitement came from a huge crash, as Heikki Kovalianen's car sent him into the tyre wall head on at 180mph.
He came out unscathed thanks to the protection of the cars nowadays, but that was the most dramatic event of the day - pretty much a siesta in Spain.
I love writing about sport though, and being able to make money from it to.
