God Told 49ers RB To Quit Football Years Ago...He Has Finally Obeyed

San Francisco running back, Glen Coffee, has finally given in to God's instructions to quit football. See below...( Fanhouse )
"Actually when I look back I feel I never should have entered the draft in the first place," said Coffee, who left the University of Alabama after his junior year. "Football was no longer my dream. I found Christ in college. It changed my views on everything. But I still was a football player because it was expected of me, it was something I did all my life. I was basically wasting the [49ers'] time."
"His will, I felt, wasn't football. I felt like I forced football because everyone expected me to play football. He told me a long time ago to walk away from the game."
"His will, I felt, wasn't football. I felt like I forced football because everyone expected me to play football. He told me a long time ago to walk away from the game."
You know, I thought when I was saying my prayers before bed the other night, that Christ was telling me telepathically that he didn't want me to work anymore. He told me, "I am your shepherd, you shall not want. You are here to serve me, you little bitch." So I thought about it. I mean, I wouldn't mind staying home to tend to Christ's sheep, but then I thought, wait, does the shepherd pay my mortgage?
So I came to work.
Anyway, you gotta admire Glen Coffee and his own little private convo with Christ. We all have different convos with Christ for different reasons. He told Glen to quit the game a long time ago and Glen didn't want to listen, but now he has made amends. That is so beautiful to see in this day and age. Truthfuly, it nearly brought me to tears. I mean, who wants to be a professional football player anyway?
Shit, I know I'd get my ass back to school to complete my undergrad and kick it with the ladies on my dorm room twin size bed any day of the week over a life of luxury as an NFL baller with stunning, seductive temptresses (diseased or otherwise) waiting for me at every stop.
No brainer!
You know why?
Because.....
"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake."
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake."
Amen, Glen.
Amen.
Chuck

You are lost. What Glenn did is noble and beautiful and your post just shows how ignorant of things you are.
