Ok, so if it’s true that KG called out ‘Sheed Wallace--after Game 1 loss-- like he told Cedric Maxwell last night, then God love #5.
“I don’t care about what happened this year personally with you or whatever…all I need is 10 & 10 out of you from this point forward in this series. If we get 10 & 10 out of you, we won’t just beat these guys, we’ll blow them out!”
This type of shit makes my heart go all aflutter. Sort of like how Felger gets weak in the knees when he talks about Tim Tebow.
Knowing that ‘Sheed got a little pissed with KG after he called him out, makes it even better. However, he eventually went up to Garnett and told him he was right... then he goes out and shoots 7 of 8 from the floor for 17 pts. He's working on the rebounds.. but last night he was huge for that second unit.
Beautiful stuff, people. Beautiful stuff. Leadership at its finest.
(Oh, and for those of you who don’t know what 10 & 10 means….It means 10 pts/ 10 rebounds. Pay attention, I’m not translating B-Ball lingo on the regular for you.)
