KG Says… ‘I Thought We Were Playing Michael Effin Jordan’ In Reference To Durant Ref Favoritism
April 1st 2010 15:30
Following the Thunder’s big win over Boston Wednesday night, Kevin Garnett was frustrated with the fact Boston took just 17 free throws to OKC’s 34, with Kevin Durant taking 15 of those. So he decided to articulate it on live television. Cover your ears if you don’t like bad words.
If you prefer not to watch and hear Garnett’s potty mouth, here’s what he said: “I thought we were playing Michael (expletive) Jordan the way he was getting the whistle. Durant damn near shot more free throws than our whole team. That’s the game.”
To quote one of my favorite geniuses who goes by the name, ‘Unknown’….
“Those who complain about the way the ball bounces are often the ones who dropped it.”
Kevin, you lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder, at HOME. I repeat, you lost to the Oklaeffinhoma City Thunder, at HOME! I don’t give a rat’s ass if they’re improved or if their superstar, Kevin Durant, got a few calls to go his way.
A champion doesn’t sit at the podium after the game and tell the press that basically the reason you lost is because the Oklaeffinhoma City Thunder’s ‘go to man’ got a rub & tug or two from the zebras. It doesn’t mean you allow him to get his ‘happy ending’. This isn’t a Chinese massage parlor, it’s the TD Garden, son.
In the words of the Under Armour commercial tool, “We must protect this house!”
