Formula 1 motor sport is a huge money making machine, but conversely it can be immensely difficult to get into it and sustain a business unless you have limitless money to start with! However, there is a way you can make profit from Formula 1 and the 60th anniversary of Silverstone is a good example...
July 2008 saw the 60th year of Grand Prix racing at the British track of Silverstone. In fact in 2010 the British race will move to another track because it has failed to keep up with the modernisation required by the sport.
The race was suitably won by British rising star Lewis Hamilton, and he can be used as an example of how to make money from Formula 1.
You could start your own Lewis Hamilton site. You could source products from manufacturers you could maybe get a licence from F1 and Hamilton himself, and make some good money. That's a lot of work though, and you need to invest in stock and take care of the delivery and customer service issues, etc.
An easier idea is to use affiliate products. This is where you send the traffic to another site, say one that sells Hamilton memorabilia, replica helmets and so on. You register with the site's software and if any customer you send goes on to buy then you get paid a commission.
There is no stock to invest in or hold, no delivery issues, the site does all that.
The 3rd model, and this is the one I like, is to provide information. F1 fans love their information, all sports fans do, so if you can provide this information, even about how to earn from their love of their sport, to fund trips to Grand Prix which are not cheap, then you will get a lot of visitors to your site.
So you can see there are several ways to make profit from the 60th anniversary of Silverstone Grands Prix.
