The Dolphins and Jets both go down today...One at the hands of the miraculous Tennessee Titans (Dolphins).. What a run this Titans team and Vince Young are on. With these two losses by the division foes, you can basically start printing those cheesy ass AFC East Champs hats and t-shirts. I equate people that wear these shirts and hats with the same people who wear Red Sox Wild Card and AL East Champs apparel. (Sorry, little cranky after shoveling out 15 inches of snow, but I hate any shirt or hat other than World Series or Super Bowl Champs written on them).
Two things became apparent to me today when watching this game...
#1) Tom Brady is most definitely hurting big time.. Hand, ribs, shoulder are all a problem for him right now for sure. Pats ran the ball well today but that wasn't a regular New England Patriot game plan. I do love the fight in Brady to keep gutting it out week after week even though he's hurting.
#2) I love what this young defense is going to become for the Patriots in the near future. Can they get beat on at times right now? Yes. Absolutely. But in a year or so, this D will be ready to make some serious noise. The addition of a young, talented linebacker to team up with Mayo and Guyton next year is just what this team needs. Nice job today.
