Stephen Strasburg Debuts Tonight For Nationals On MLB Network

There is more hype surrounding Washington Nationals phenom, Stephen Strasburg, than there was surrounding the iPhone when it hit the streets back in 2007.

I wrote about Strasburg on TCFB right before the 2009 MLB Draft when it was still unclear whether Washington would draft him or not, due to his affiliation with Scott Boras, and the money it might’ve taken to get this kid signed.

Well, as most of you know, he was drafted and signed by Washington. Boras’ outrageously rumored demands (6 years/$50 mil) came down and Strasburg signed a deal that guaranteed him $15.1 mil over 4 yrs.

For those of you not 'in the know' and living in caves, the young phenom makes his major league debut tonight against the Pittsburgh Pirates and the league has it on national television tonight.

Check out Strasburg on the MLB Network tonight at 7pm.

Wow..........I can't believe you just did this blog......I was sitting here wondering if this kid's debut was going to be on tonight and if so what channel. Now that's what I call servicing your loyal readership. Thanks for the info and btw your earlier blog on him was both well written and informative. I'd love to see this kid and the #1 pick from yesterday's draft turn this franchise around..........Would be a great story and to think I never heard of him prior to your blog..........Thanks
