Ok, so I’m well aware that I can be a grumpy, sarcastic, borderline mean bastard at times.
I took my ten year old step son to the store last night so he could get a Mother’s Day card for Wifey TCFB and as we were in line he was reading the headline on one of the supermarket rags that said, “Who Will Replace Simon Cowell On American Idol?” I told him that I am replacing him & after starting to say “no I don’t think…” he stopped and then agreed fully that I would be a good fit due to my above mentioned qualities & we had a laugh.
I’m here today to show you that I can in fact be a nice guy when I feel like it.
A die-hard TCFB fan and all around good guy, Holt Murray, is asking for fan support on a new Facebook page dedicated to ex-Red Sox outfielder, “Mr. Stolen Base”---Dave Roberts on his fight against Hodgkins Lymphoma. He sent me the e-mail below to share with you all…Please check out the FB page and ‘like’ the cause. If I did it, so can you.

Red Sox fans, as most of you may have heard, Dave Roberts was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in March and word in the news is that the prognosis is good.
We all know that support is one of the biggest contributors to getting & staying well. Dave is fighting his biggest battle ever -- there is now a Facebook fan page for Dave called, 'Boston Sox fans supporting Dave Roberts'. Through sheer word of mouth, over 1000 people have 'liked' and left comments. Former Red Sox players Dick Drago & Brian Daubach have clicked in & shown their support.
It takes two seconds and does not make you a friend with the site, so your personal info is still safe. Best of all, Dave Roberts will have one heck of a get well soon card from Red Sox Nation.
