TCFB Hot Links…Sad Story Of Little League Coach Darin McGahey & Shaughnessy Piece On Fraternization
July 20th 2010 15:30
Bringing back the Hot Links today after a long hiatus.
Today I have a great but sad story on Little League coach, Darin McGahey. Darin died while trying to save some of his players who got caught up in the surf at Navarre Beach in Florida.
“Like Little League parents, Little League coaches sometimes get a bad name. But for every power-mad man stuffed into a polyester shirt who thinks he's Tony La Russa, there are hundreds of guys like McGahey.”
Secondly, I have a great take on the fraternization among foes in sports, by Carl Everett’s favorite writer, CHB Dan Shaughnessy. I have to say, I don’t always agree with him, but I’m on board with his take on this subject. Loved the part about Ted Williams.
