TCFB Random Thought On.....Darnell McDonald

How cool must it feel to be Darnell McDonald today? A 31 year old minor league journeyman---not even on the Sox 40 man roster to start the day yesterday---getting called on to pinch hit & proceeding to tie the game with a two run homer, then winning it in the ninth with a wall ball single. That’s what it’s all about right there. These guys put in a lot of time on the road---chasing a dream that most of the time never comes to fruition---and a night like last night makes it all worth while for a guy like McDonald.

Congrats to McDonald! Hope he has the chance to do more... it's so true that they spend so much time on the road and often moving from team to team and city to city in their quest to make it to the Bigs.
