Zdeno Chara really makes me appreciate how good Ray Bourque was in this town. Bourque was taken for granted in this town and moreso by his own organization to boot. Consummate pro who led on and off the ice & stepped up when it mattered most. Ownership just didn’t step up and give him the supporting cast that was necessary in those days to win it all.
Chara seems to puke in his mouth when it matters most. His record in Game 7’s proves it (now 0-5) and I’m not just talking about since he’s been in Beantown. He was the ‘leader’ on those heavily favored Ottawa teams who prematurely bit the dust as well.
Captain = Leader... Where are the leaders on this team?
(Sorry, I know it's over, but it was just a random thought I had to get out there.)
