So, did you see Nomie scoop the dirt up from shortstop area of the infield last night and put it in his pants pocket before throwing out the first pitch? How much you wanna bet me that those pants go into the washing machine with dirt still in pocket? That was a ‘red light special’ if I ever saw one. I’m a huge Nomar fan, but that was a little too staged for my taste. Throw a little dirt in a Glad Baggy before the ceremony if you want a Fenway memento. Even Varitek was laughing like, “what the hell is big beak up to here???”…
