TCFB RRW-----Marcus Jordan
October 23rd 2009 13:04
This is a new twist on the TCFB site debuting today.. It’s called the TCFB RRW (Read-React-Write) Segment. I get lots of headlines sent to me daily which is how I usually come up with some of my topics that I write on since I started this back in April. This RRW segment is different in the fact that I’m not going to look up anything, research anything or any of that mumbo-jumbo. I’m simply reacting to a headline and short sports story that has been sent to me. My reaction will be only a short paragraph long, nothing like my normal posts when I write. Please send any topics/headlines w/short story to me by clicking HERE and Smitty will sort them out and present them to me. I can’t guarantee that whatever everyone sends me will be used because it really needs to be something that hits me the right way and gets me going---but please send topics/headlines along to me so I can use them. It should be fun… First one is below…
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A fight over the shoes Michael Jordan's son will wear at the University of Central Florida could cost the school as much as $3 million.
Freshman guard Marcus Jordan is refusing to wear shoes made by adidas, the brand the university has a contract with for all its sports. He says he will only wear his father's Nike Air Jordan shoes because it holds special meaning to his family.
Is this what the world has become? Mini-Me Jordan can’t slap a pair of Adidas on his ‘holier than thou’ dogs because Daddy’s Air Jordan’s take precedence and have special meaning to him? Hey kid, snap out of it and realize two things… #1)You are not ‘His-Airness’ and you never will be, so cut the shit with the sneaker demands or any other demands for that matter #2) You’re not even good enough to be water boy like Bobby Bouchet at your Daddy’s alma mater UNC hence you’re at UCF. So do me a favor, slap on your Adidas kicks and lace ‘em the hell up tight and go play some ball for Christ sakes.
