TCFB's Turn Back The Clock In Sports History---November 23rd
November 23rd 2009 14:12
Boston College defeated Miami, 47-45, on quarterback Doug Flutie's last-second 64-yard pass. (1984)
The Sacramento Kings ended the NBA's longest road losing streak at 43 games. (1991)
A crowd of 87,555 people watched the Texas Longhorns beat the Texas A&M Aggies 21-7. The crowd was the largest to see a football game in Texas. (2001)
Happy Birthday to the following people. If you are dead now and I missed the news, I apologize in advance. I'm trying to be nice here..........
1938 - Oscar Robertson, NBA guard (Cin, Milwaukee, Olympic-gold-1960). Once 'averaged' a triple double for the whole NBA season. Remarkable feat.
1980 - Jonathan Papelbon, Red Sox closer... What are the odds Paps is throwing his own party down in Mississippi later on tonight? I wonder if his neighbor Brett Favre can get back in time. Someone like Paps is probably having a dwarf tossing party. If you don't know about dwarf tossing parties, trust me, they exist. Google it.
