Wes Welker is on the verge of another achievement.
But I don’t mean the good kind this time.
The New England Patriots slot receiver leads the NFL with a franchise-record 122 catches.
But he has made 83 consecutive receptions without a touchdown. That's the second-longest drought since 1990, and nine behind Tampa Bay wideout Keyshawn Johnson's famine in 2001.
‘Wes is only 9 behind Key Johnson’s famine…Blah..Blah..Blah..Blah…’ Hey Tim, we don’t give a rat’s ass about his consecutive ‘touchdownless’ streak, ok? Good try. Are you bored? This kid is like Mighty Mouse on roids around here and we love his style along with his 122 franchise record receptions this year. The Pats have many other options to use for their TD’s inside the Red Zone. We use Mighty Mouse between the 20’s like ESPN uses female interns---fast, furiously & efficiently. He’s the best possession receiver we’ve ever had in New England. Take that stupid ass stat and find something worth while to shit on the Patriots about in your blog. I understand people hate the Patriots. Most people hate dominance. Understood. I need better from you than this though Timmy.
It’s tough being a member of the ‘team of the decade’ Wes. They build you up to tear you down buddy. Remember that & keep your head up.
